Silverstein Commodities / Legal information
Commodities disclaimer and ownership information
Directly owned precious metals, physical-asset risks and the regulatory boundary.
1. Identity and scope
Silverstein Commodities is a distinct identity within Taylor Silverstein’s website network. Its current scope is directly owned precious metals, rather than every commodity market. Taylor uses his own capital; the website does not sell metals, take customer payments, store assets for visitors or arrange their investments. No FCA authorisation or regulated status is claimed.
2. Published ownership and artwork
Taylor confirmed on 10 October 2026 that he does not own gold, silver or other precious metals. The direct-ownership register is empty. An equity investment in a company associated with metals is a company shareholding, not evidence of ownership of bullion. No weight, purity, purchase price, location or valuation has been inferred.
Material illustrations are original abstract artwork. They do not show actual bullion, holdings, storage arrangements or assets owned by Taylor.
3. Physical-metal risks and no advice
Metal prices may fall. Buying and selling prices can differ, and dealer margins, storage, insurance, delivery and applicable taxes can reduce the result. Ownership also raises questions about authenticity, purity, title, access, theft and the reliability of any dealer or storage provider. Physical metals do not inherently pay interest or dividends.
The website does not recommend a metal, dealer, storage arrangement or transaction. It offers no personalised advice, guaranteed valuation, return or assurance that an asset can be sold at a particular price.
4. Physical ownership and financial instruments
Buying a physical asset outright is not the same as buying shares, fund units, a futures contract or a CFD linked to its price. The legal position depends on the transaction and structure. The FCA’s high-risk investment guidance explains that direct commodity investments may lack financial-services protection.
Financial products linked to commodities can fall within securities, derivatives or fund rules. The FCA’s commodity derivatives framework addresses a separate market regime. Pooled arrangements may also require assessment under section 235 of FSMA and fund legislation. This physical-ownership record is not a fund or derivatives service.
5. Promotions, providers and protection
Where a business communication invites or induces investment activity within its scope, section 21 of FSMA requires a lawful route. A “physical” or “commodities” label does not exempt a structured financial product or regulated service. The content and actual arrangements must be assessed.
No FSCS or Financial Ombudsman Service protection is claimed for this website or for physical metals simply because they appear here. Any protection for a separate service depends on the provider and activity. The FCA’s protection explanation describes those limits; poor investment performance alone is not covered.
6. Sources, external links and accuracy
This is a personal record, not an audited ownership statement, live price feed or valuation service. Holdings information is published only where supported by the record; missing quantities, prices, returns and valuations are not estimated. Official source links are provided within the text. The legal overview was reviewed on 12 October 2026 and should be read against the current wording and commencement dates of the linked sources.
External providers control their own websites, terms and privacy practices. Their names and trademarks identify the organisations discussed; they do not imply endorsement or partnership. Original Silverstein illustrations are decorative artwork rather than representations of assets owned.
7. Website obligations and legal rights
This overview is not an exhaustive legal assessment. Regulatory obligations depend on the actual activities, assets and communications; the website name and disclaimer do not create an exemption. Nothing here removes legal rights or limits liability where the law does not permit it. Where consumer law applies, section 62 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 addresses unfair terms and notices.
Where personal data is processed, the UK data protection principles and Data Protection Act 2018 may apply. PECR rules on cookies and similar technologies include information and consent requirements where applicable. This investment document is not a privacy notice.
