1. Identity and scope

Silverstein Crypto is a distinct identity within Taylor Silverstein’s website network. It concerns direct cryptocurrency ownership and the questions Taylor is exploring before investing. Taylor uses his own capital; no visitor money, investment subscriptions, trading orders or custody instructions are accepted here. No FCA authorisation or cryptoasset registration is claimed.

Company shares in a crypto-related business are equity investments and belong in the company record. They do not establish direct ownership of a cryptocurrency.

2. Published holdings and illustrations

Taylor confirmed on 10 October 2026 that he does not own Bitcoin, Ether or any other cryptocurrencies. There are no direct crypto holdings published in this record. Research interest is not presented as ownership, and no balances, wallets, token prices or returns are invented. Network illustrations are abstract artwork.

3. Cryptoasset risks and no advice

Prices may change rapidly, liquidity may disappear and a token may lose all its value. Risks can also include scams, platform failure, cyber-attacks, lost private keys and irreversible transactions. Practical use of a technology does not guarantee value or returns for its token.

This section does not recommend what visitors should buy, sell, hold or stake, and it does not assess their circumstances. No return is promised. The FCA’s cryptoasset scam information explains warning signs and the limits of protection.

4. UK cryptoasset regulation

Regulation depends on the asset and activity, not the word “crypto”. Section 19 of FSMA restricts regulated activities without authorisation or an applicable exemption. Some crypto-related products and activities already fall within regulated categories; other businesses have been subject to anti-money-laundering registration requirements. Registration must not be treated as a general approval of products or an investment guarantee.

As reviewed on 12 October 2026, the FCA’s new cryptoasset regime guidance states that the broader regime is expected to come into force on 25 October 2027. Its authorisation gateway has opened, but that does not mean all future rules are already in force. The applicable provisions and commencement dates must be checked if activities change.

5. Financial promotions and investor protection

The UK cryptoasset financial promotions regime applies to qualifying business promotions, including websites and social media. Section 21 of FSMA requires a lawful communication route. Research or commentary can still need assessment based on its substance and context; “not financial advice” alone is not an exemption.

This website offers no regulated service to visitors and claims no FSCS or Financial Ombudsman Service protection for its content. The FCA’s consumer guidance warns that buying crypto generally does not provide those protections. A separate provider’s registration or permission does not establish protection for every asset or activity.

6. Sources, external links and accuracy

This is a personal record, not an audited ownership statement, live price feed or valuation service. Holdings information is published only where supported by the record; missing quantities, prices, returns and valuations are not estimated. Official source links are provided within the text. The legal overview was reviewed on 12 October 2026 and should be read against the current wording and commencement dates of the linked sources.

External providers control their own websites, terms and privacy practices. Their names and trademarks identify the organisations discussed; they do not imply endorsement or partnership. Original Silverstein illustrations are decorative artwork rather than representations of assets owned.

7. Website obligations and legal rights

This overview is not an exhaustive legal assessment. Regulatory obligations depend on the actual activities, assets and communications; the website name and disclaimer do not create an exemption. Nothing here removes legal rights or limits liability where the law does not permit it. Where consumer law applies, section 62 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 addresses unfair terms and notices.

Where personal data is processed, the UK data protection principles and Data Protection Act 2018 may apply. PECR rules on cookies and similar technologies include information and consent requirements where applicable. This investment document is not a privacy notice.
